Electronics Industry
O2, N2, Ar, He, Laser gases, semiconductor gases, ultra-pure gases
  Semiconductor material gases and ultra-pure gases are provided for the production of products that form the basis for international infrastructures, including semiconductors and optic fibers required for high-speed communications.
Chemical Industry
  O2, N2, Ar, He, H2, C2H2, CO, standard gases
    These gases contribute significantly to the chemical industry as fundamental raw materials in the production of inorganic chemical products, acetic acid and ammonia compounds, and plastics, and in the construction and operation of petroleum complexes. Nitrogen is also used for safety and quality management in petrochemical plants, for example in the prevention of oxidization and explosions.

    These gases are being used with increasing frequency in the field of superconductor technologies, for industrial applications requiring ultra-low temperatures such as superconductive MRI devices in the medical field, and in R&D activities related to linear motor cars, nuclear fusion, and high-energy applications.
Automotive Industry
  Ar, CO2, O2, C2H2, LPG, N2, He, H2
    Various types of gases are used in the production of a wide range of automotive parts, including engines, bodies, springs, and tires.
Space Industry
  LH2, LO2
    Liquid hydrogen is used as a fuel in space rockets, which require immense propulsive force. Similarly, hydrogen will be a critical energy source in the post-petroleum and post-nuclear power era.
Food Products
  N2, CO2, LPG, SO2, LN2, H2, C2H4
    Carbonic acid gas is used in the production of carbonated beverages, liquid nitrogen and nitrogen gas are used in the freeze-drying of powdered foods, liquid nitrogen is used in low-temperature storage of food products, and hydrogen is used in the hardening of food oils.
Steel Industry
  O2, N2, Ar, CO2, C2H2, LPG
    Nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide are used extensively in Japan’s vital iron and steel industries. For example, oxygen, acetylene gas, and LPG are used in welding and cutting, nitrogen and other gases are used in plasma are cutting, and carbon dioxide gas is used in mold production.

    Oxygen and acetylene gas are used for efficient welding and cutting argon gas is used to prevent oxidation in plasma welding, and nitrogen is used in heat processing.
Civil Engineering

    Gases are essential for large-scale construction activities; two examples are underwater cutting using oxygen or hydrogen blowpipes, and liquid nitrogen freezing processes.

    A mixed gas comprised of 80% helium and 20% nitrogen is used for breathing in undersea facilities at depths of 30 meters or more.
