| Prevention of
global warming: Recovery and recycling of SF6 |
 |
 |
 |
Sulfur hexafluoride
(SF6) gas became a substance to be regulated at the Kyoto
Conference for Preventing Global Warming, and it will no
longer be possible to discharge this substance into the
atmosphere.
Tomoe Shokai has developed recovery and processing business
for SF6 gas such as removal of gas insulation equipment to
prepare for the banning of SF6 gas discharge into the atmosphere.

Processing of
recovered gas |
|
 |
 |
As for the recovered
gas processing method employed at a gas manufacturer, a complete
recycle processing is carried out by, first, confirming impurities
with gas analysis. Then, after oil, solid and air contents
and so on are removed, recovered gas is send to a SF6 gas
production line.
The processing flow for recovered gas is as follows: |
 |
| Decomposed gas existing |
Recovered gas is inserted to a production
line after decomposed gas is removed with a decomposed
gas removing equipment. |
| Purity less than 90% |
Recovered gas is inserted into a production
line after air content and so on are removed in liquefied
condition. |
| Purity greater than 90% |
Recovered gas is inserted into a production
line as is and refined in the line. |
